Car shopping...or in this case, SUV shopping. This is something I detest, and put off as long as possible. My Durango is pushing 140K miles, so I'm guessin' it's time to find something new or newer. It's been a great truck, was my retirement gift to myself at the end of 2000. So, I made two trips into town this weekend to test drive some mid-sized SUVs. The Nissan Xterra was great, but the driver's seat is not power and it's not an option at all, but something I don't wanna live without. The Nissan Pathfinder was a really sweet ride, only problem I had was getting the back seats flat for 'dog riding space'. The Toyota 4Runner is in the running, about the same class as the Pathfinder and same pricerange. And Dodge has the new Nitro that was on the lower price range, but a real nice SUV with all the bells and whistles I need. Decisions, decisions. I've spent some time doing research, and was prepared enough to fend off any high pressure sales since I was only there to test drive. Once I decide which I want, next will be step three....The Dreaded Negotiations Phase.

Good luck on the purchase. Sucks being down there in the South with more money than you know what to do with.
Hate buying cars..I really wanted to comment on your care and rescue of Dobe's..my absolute favorite dog...when my son was born I had Max, a very large red dobe who I had rescued from the local spca..the best dog..and he was such a wonderful babysitter, if Scott was out in the yard, Max was rigth there beside him..he was so large and gentle that many was the time I would find Scott sound asleep curled up on Max..I am sorry to say that he is no longer with us,I do miss him so..I applaud you and all those who continue to give love and care to these special dogs. I would have one right now if I could..keep up this great work..m
With all your riches I figured you'd be looking at Lincoln Navigators or Cadillac Escalades. You know you have to keep appearances up, besides just think how much Tucker would like crusin' around in a fully loaded Navigator. You should be able to pick one up cheap 40 grand or so.
